During Oct 3 - 9, Xanthus Digital Picture joined many Taiwanese animation production companies to participate the annual MIPCOM & MIPJUNIOR event held in Cannes, France. Xanthus went to promote and do pre-sales on “Traces” - a TV series co-produced with Swizz animation company Animagination - and “Yameme” - a self-produced TV series.
MIPCOM is one of the most professional and leading film markets in the world. Every year, it attracts professional film production companies and international buyers from around the world. Participants get to do business with each other through this international media platform. This year’s MIPCOM had over 13,000 participants - including people from the television and internet industries, broadcasters, production companies, buyers, distributers and so on - from over 100 countries. It was estimated that nearly 1,700 companies from 64 countries had participated in this year’s MIPCOM.
During these six days, Xanthus chief executive Bruce Yao and producer Chris Wu had met over 50 broadcasters, distributors, agents and animation companies from several different countries. Xanthus had achieved good results in selling the broadcasting rights of “Traces” and pre-sales of “Yameme”. In this event, Xanthus had given interviews to international media about its works, which also indirectly gave light and good international publicity to animation content made in Taiwan. |
